3 Stage System Explained:

• The pre-filter is a combined carbon/sediment filter that removes chlorine and physical particles in the water such as rust and metals. (change every 2 months)
• RO Filter: The RO (reverse osmosis) filter removes up to 98% of impurities and minerals. these impurities are what can cause spots on the glass. RO membranes typically last 2-3 years depending on your local water quality and how well it it maintained over the season.
• DI (Dionization) is another method for removing impurities. In a 3 stage system, it is the last filter to polish off the water before going to the pole. Change out the DI resin when the water tests above 10 ppm on your TDS meter.
